Kenzie's Event Center in High Point (WGHP)

HIGH POINT, N.C. — A man was shot and killed just after midnight early Friday morning at Kenzie’s Event Center in High Point.

Police responded to the scene at 401 Brentwood Street to find Gerald Dwayne Williamson Sr., 28, of High Point, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

Williamson was taken to High Point Regional Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

High Point Police Captain Mike Kirk said there is no connection between the shootings that happened in High Point Thursday night and early Friday morning.

“We have looked at both cases and have concluded that these are two separate unrelated incidents,” he said.

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information can call police.

    Forget about the place and how it looks. Someone just took a life. It is not against the law to be in a club. My heart goes out to this man’s family. There are people hurting and grieving over this senseless act. I am praying for them and God’s comfort and strength. I also pray for justice to be served. I lost a child too so if the parent’s are involved I know this left a big whole in their heart…
