DAVIDSON COUNTY, N.C. -- Hospice of Davidson County will offer training sessions for new volunteers this coming week.

The sessions will be held from 1-5 p.m. each day, Tuesday, Feb. 25-Thursday, Feb. 27.

They will be held at the Administrative Building on the Hospice of Davidson County campus, 200 Hospice Way in Lexington.

Volunteers are needed to provide patient care and companionship for patients and families.

Patient-family volunteers receive specialized training, enabling them to provide companionship and caregiver support to those experiencing a life-limiting illness.

Hospice of Davidson County encourages patient-family volunteers to consider a commitment of one to three hours a week.

Volunteer applications are available online at www.hospiceofdavidson.org.

For more information about the volunteer training session, please call Sumiko Harmon, Manager of Volunteer Services, at 336-475-5444.
