GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Once building snowmen, snowball fights and sledding starts to get boring there are only so many things to do on day two of the snow days.

People are starting to get stir crazy after being trapped in their homes for the past 24 or 48 hours, but finding somewhere close enough to home and that was open was a challenge.

Several businesses throughout the Piedmont are still closed but FOX8 did find one packed place, the Hams on New Garden Road in Greensboro.

The restaurant closed on Wednesday, but despite several workers calling off they opened up on normal time on Thursday.

Managers tell us the snowy Thursday was busier than their average Thursday.

The people in this country can’t mentally deal with the slightest hardship. This little storm (24-48 hours) can hardly be called a hardship. We are going under as a people.
