High Point University closed Wednesday

HIGH POINT, N.C. — High Point University classes that begin at 2 p.m. and after are canceled on Wednesday due to winter weather conditions.

School officials said they are working throughout the day and night to ensure roads, sidewalks and staircases on campus are safe.

Some food service locations will close at 3 p.m. except for the following locations that will remain open until 10 p.m. to serve students:

Slane Center: Café & Starbucks
Wanek Center: Farmer’s Market, Starbucks, C-Store 1
The Complex: C-Store 2
The Village: The Village Grille
North College Station: The North College Bistro

All shuttle routes will operate until 11 p.m. or until drivers believe conditions are no longer safe.

HPU security and student life staff will be on duty around the clock.
If students have an emergency, special transportation need or critical request, they can call Campus Security at 841-9112.
