High Point man charged with vehicle break-in, heroin possession

ASHEBORO, N.C. — A High Point man faces charges that he broke into a vehicle and stole items and also possessed heroin and marijuana.

Dustin Tyler Orr, 23, was arrested Monday after Randolph County deputies said he was pulled over while headed toward Thomasville.

Deputies said they were called to the Trinity area in reference to a vehicle being broken into.

While they were dispatched, authorities said they saw the suspect’s vehicle and pulled him over. Officials said they saw the stolen item in the suspect’s car.

The suspect has been charged with breaking into a motor vehicle, larceny, possession of stolen goods, possessing drug paraphernalia and possessing marijuana, heroin and a schedule IV controlled substance.

He was placed in the Randolph County Jail under a $100,000 secured bond.
