If you're trying to lose weight, experts say you should eat at home as much as possible. That way, you know exactly what you are eating and you can control the portion size.

That also means you have to shop smart in the grocery store. For example, what is better for weight loss, shrimp or salmon?

    Those are great recommendations but where is the rest?! I would love for someone to create a complete list! Or if they have where can it be found? Everyday there are new recommendations of what’s good or bad for you and it seems to change constantly! I remember when eggs were good for you then all of a sudden they weren’t good for you then it changed back! It’s so confusing trying to figure out what is the best and having it also taste descent! A lot of these foods taste terrible, not all, but a lot!

      It would be nearly impossible to put together a “complete list”. It is a matter of educating yourself on how to control portions and read nutrition labels. A nutritionist can discuss specific likes and dislikes with you to help you decide what your list should be. After being diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes, I was referred to a diabetic educator who helped me find healthier options for things that I liked but should no longer eat. I only wish that I had taken my doctor up on his offer to refer me to a nutritionist before I became Diabetic.

    Iam also a type2 diabetes patient and my trainer has recommended to take healthier dier that can be helpful for weight loss and as well as it can provide nutritions.
