Key players in $850M Zeek Rewards Ponzi scheme plead guilty

LEXINGTON, N.C. — Two people charged in the ZeekRewards Ponzi scheme pleaded guilty in federal court Wednesday.

Former CEO Dawn Wright-Olivares, 45, pleaded guilty to securities fraud conspiracy and tax evasion stemming from the $850 million scam.

Her stepson, master programmer Daniel Olivares, 31, also pleaded guilty to securities fraud conspiracy.

The company’s top executive Paul Burks has not been criminally charged.
