Olive Garden offering free babysitting to customers for ‘date night’

Olive Garden is attempting to improve sales by offering to pick up the babysitting tab.

The restaurant chain has teamed with My Gym, a national network of children’s centers, to provide parents a “date night” on Feb. 7.

According to the Orlando Sentinel, parents can drop off their children at one of 145 participating My Gym locations to participate.

Editor’s note: My Gym does not have any locations in the Triad. The only NC locations are located in Cary, Raleigh and Charlotte.

Participants must first call and reserve a spot, which does require a deposit. Their deposit will be refunded if they can provide a receipt showing they went to Olive Garden for dinner.

The offer is limited to 30 kids per My Gym location

The restaurant, which is owned by Darden Restaurants, has been attempting to boost sales by offering a new menu and smaller, cheaper options after reports of declining sales and visits during.
