GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Ten people are in custody after Greensboro police executed five search warrants at the Heritage House apartment complex on Friday.

Police said they served the warrants around 10:30 a.m. Friday at 310 W. Meadowview Road.

Some of the charges involve selling crack cocaine, marijuana and possessing drug paraphernalia.

The suspects arrested are: 46-year-old George Knotts Jr, 41-year-old Shantelle Mungo El-Saidi, 35-year-old Jason Fullwood, 40-year-old Antoine Juan Lattimore, 57-year-old Noel Timothy Wooten, 59-year-old Geraldine McClelland Bennette, 54-year-old Sheldon Lezelle Alston, 46-year-old Shawn Gerard Harrison, 35-year-old Richard Alan Jackson and 48-year-old Raymond Bruce Wilson.

Authorities said the Heritage House apartment complex had more than 1,200 police calls in 2013, about 150 of which were narcotics-related.

“We are committed to making the Heritage House a safer place for people to live,” said Captain Shon F. Barnes who commands the Southern Patrol Division. “School age children live in this building and they deserve to grow up in an environment that is drug-free. Elderly people live in this building and they deserve to live their lives in peace.”

I live at Heritage House. MOST of the calls are due to the fire alarms that go off several times a day because of the people who cannot walk down the hallways or get on the elevator without smoking.

Was it only 3 calls a day?!? Ha! Nothing but a drug den. It should have been leveled and that tower of terror at 830 W Market St too.

Ok. I just said this the other day !!!!!!! They arrested all those white people and not one name or mugshot on line. Now you see all the African Americans with pictures. Go figure. We are living in such a racial world. Wow!!

Are you accusing yourself of name calling?

BTW, since you are obviously new to the internet typing in all caps is considered shouting and very rude. Additionally grammar and punctuation are required otherwise the poster looks ill educated.

Is this complex a low-income apartment buliding? Just wondering if these arrest will effect whether they will face evictions if found guilty.

You can’t blame the building, it’s the individuals that make their choice to commit crimes. The building has no choice in the matter, the people have a choice.

All the calls were due to the fact the fire alarms go off cause carckheads and other ppl want to smoke in the hallway and elevators. They do it on purpose cause they know that the fire alarms a quick to go off. But the building has 6 floors over 500 apartments. I kno cause I use to live there. They need to clean that place up cause the crackheads and homeless ppl stay going in there doing stuff that they have no buisness. They be pissing and Shit in hallways elevators and so forth. It’s a cheap and nice place to live. It’s just the drug addict and others that make it look bad.
