Report: US Airways, American Airlines merger means more flights at PTI

GREENSBORO, N.C. — The recent merger of US Airways and American Airlines means additional flights will be added at Piedmont Triad International Airport.

Kevin Baker, executive director of PTI, told The Business Journal the merger means US Airways will continue its four daily flights from Greensboro to Reagan and American Airlines will add flights from LaGuardia Airport in New York City.

Those flights would be in addition to New York service already provided by Delta, which currently operatres four flights a day from PTI to LaGuardia.
