Suspects sought in string of Randolph Co. vehicle break-ins

RANDOLPH COUNTY, N.C. — Both a man and a woman are sought in a string of car break-ins in the Randolph County area.

Deputies with the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office say the break-ins occurred in the Finch Farm Road of Trinity.

Reports of these break-ins started Jan. 4, 2014, with the most recent occurring on Jan. 14.

Deputies are looking for Brian Bourn, 30, and Theresa Chapman, 26, both of Thomasville.

Bourn and Chapman have been charged with breaking and entering a motor vehicle, felony larceny and felony possession of stolen goods.

Deputies think the pair may possibly be in the drug areas of Thomasville and High Point.

There have been at least a dozen vehicles broken into with money, electronics, tools, debit/credit cards being stolen.

One of the break-ins was to a work truck with several expensive electrical meters and computers having been reported stolen.

Investigators recovered approximately $35,000 in stolen property from the car break-ins.
