RANDLEMAN, N.C. — A Randleman man plead guilty Monday to involuntary manslaughter for the death of his nephew, according to the Courier-Tribune.

Prosecutors say 28-year-old Christopher Lawing was killed when his uncle, Michael Anthony Dotson, accidentally shot him in the neck in July 2012.

Dotson will serve two years in federal prison after he completes his state sentence.

He has previously been convicted in federal court for possession of a firearm by a felon in the same case.
