Flights delayed, canceled as winter storm hits East Coast

GREENSBORO, N.C. — Several flights to and from North Carolina have been delayed and some even canceled as a result of the winter weather sweeping across the country this week.

As of Monday morning, flights to New York and Chicago from Piedmont Triad International airport, Raleigh-Durham International airport and Charlotte Douglas International airport are all delayed.

There are also delays being reported for flights to Washington, D.C., Philadelphia, Detroit and Cincinnati.

According to FlightAware.com, there are 3,344 flight delays and 2,836 flight cancellations as of 6:15 a.m.
