Police search for this truck after valuables taken from cars at daycare.

STANLEY, N.C. — Police said valuables are being taken from vehicles at local daycares in Stanley.

Stanley Police Department said they are investigating the thefts.

According to WSOC, police say a person is taking valuables from cars that are left unattended in unlocked vehicles at day cares while parents are dropping off children.

Police released a picture of a green older model Nissan single-cab pickup truck they are searching for.

    If I get out of my car and walk away from it I lock it. It takes only a few seconds to open the door and take whatever may be in it.
    I never leave my purse, cell phone, lap top, or anything else that someone may want to steal, visible.

    Lock your door, take your stuff, don’t be a victim.
