GREENSBORO, N.C. — Due to an increase in flu activity throughout the area, Cone Health is asking members of the community to voluntarily restrict their visitation to help protect patients from further illness.

People should refrain from visiting if they are experiencing symptoms such as a runny nose, sore throat, fever and cough.

In addition, the hospital is also asking people 18 years or younger to not visit the hospital if possible.

As a reminder, people are asked not to come to the hospital anytime they are not feeling well, not just during the flu season.
