EDEN, N.C. — Police are investigating a suspicious death after an adult male was found dead in a car near Eden.
According to Rockingham County Sheriff Sam Page, the man was found in a car about 200 yards off Lakewood Road west of Eden Wednesday afternoon.
Neighbors reported a suspicious vehicle around noon.
Eden police and sheriff’s deputies responded to the scene.
The cause of the man’s death is currently unknown and his name has not been released pending notification of the next of kin.
The SBI was called to assist with the scene but the Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office is heading up the investigation.
No further details are available at this time.
