Man robbed, assaulted on Christmas Day in Greensboro

GREENSBORO, N.C. — A man told police he was robbed and assaulted by a group of people on Christmas Day.

Officers responded to the area of Chatwick Drive and Drexel Road in Greensboro around 8:37 p.m. Wednesday.

The 24-year-old victim told police  he was walking on Drexel Road when he was approached by five or six male subjects.

The suspects demanded money but when the victim refused, he was assaulted.

The suspects were able to obtain property from the victim and then they fled on foot in a southeastern direction.

The suspects were described as black males wearing dark clothing.

The victim received minor injuries and was treated on scene by EMS.

The investigation is ongoing.
