Two men shot at VFW in Lexington

LEXINGTON, N.C. — Two men were shot in the legs early Sunday morning at the VFW in Lexington.

Police say shots were reported around 1:48 a.m. at the VFW located at 1 Arthur Drive.

A short time later Kornell Marquis Cook, 20, and Willie Clarence Peck III, 26, both of Salisbury, showed up at Lexington Medical Center with gunshot wounds to their legs.

They were transferred to Baptist Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

The incident is under investigation by the Lexington Police Department.
