NC ‘Christmas Town USA’ gets in the spirit

MCADENVILLE, N.C. -- Decorations are all around, but there’s one North Carolina town that gets into the Christmas spirit in a big way.

McAdenville becomes “Christmas Town USA” every year with a light show that spans nearly two miles and draws 600,000 revelers annually.

The small Gaston County town is located between Charlotte and Gastonia and is well-known for celebrating the Christmas season.

    27 years ago I was in the Christmas Town USA P.W. Bowl game and parade and have been back twice to see the lights, such fun winning the game against the ‘little sticks of dynamite’ and being part of the rich NC history.
