68 charged in Alamance Co. drug bust

ALAMANCE COUNTY, N.C. — Authorities have charged 68 people in a large drug bust in Alamance County Thursday morning. 

The operation began in July 2012 and illegal purchases included powder and crack cocaine, marijuana, methamphetamines, LSD, non-tax paid liquor and prescription medications.

Warrants have been issued for 68 people, 18 of which are potentially habitual felons.

The 68 people charged face a total of 228 felony charges and 115 misdemeanor charges.
