Ex-boyfriend charged in Durham double murder

DURHAM, N.C. — A man has been charged in the double murder of his ex-girlfriend and a Durham man on Monday, police announced on Wednesday.

According to WTVD, Michael Teon Brown, 28, of Hartsville, S.C., is charged with two counts of first-degree murder. He was arrested in Darlington County, S.C.

The victims have been identified as 34-year-old Jerron McGirt and 33-year-old Jessica Liriano. Both lived at a house on Cheek Road in Durham where they were found.

Police said Brown was Liriano’s ex-boyfriend.
