CARY — A man was arrested Tuesday after police say he was working as a pimp for a 17-year-old prostitute.

According to the News and Observer, the undercover operation at a motel near RDU International Airport resulted in police charging Marcus Kevvon Gibson, 21, with sexual servitude with a child victim and promoting prostitution. He has no permanent address.

Police arrested Gibson at the Country Inn & Suites at 201 Airgate Drive.

It was reported that Gibson “knowingly subjected” the girl to the situation and also received a portion of the money the girl collected.

Capt. Don Hamilton said the girl would not speak with them, so police had not been able to determine where she was from.

Gibson is being held in the Wake County Detention Center under a $250,000 bail and scheduled for a court Wednesday.
