No injuries in fire at vacant house in Winston-Salem

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — No injuries were reported in a fire early Monday morning at a vacant house on Mason Street.

The Winston-Salem Fire Department received a call at 8:51 a.m. about a fire at 415 Mason St., according to Battalian Chief Charlie Hampton.

Six units from the fire department responded and needed 18 minutes to get the fire under control.

The fire started on the back porch, Hampton said, but the cause is unknown.

The investigation is continuing.
