DAVIDSON COUNTY, N.C. -- A woman who just wanted to save animals now needs help taking care of the ones she has already taken in.

Right now, the Human Society of Davidson County (HSDC) is helping the woman care for the animals on her property.

While the animals are being fed, the conditions are poor and there is no place for the animals to go.

"If it was just one or two dogs they could handle it or we could handle it, but when you're talking about 17 dogs and cats that need help -- that's where we all need to work as a team," said Robin Lindsay, a volunteer with HSDC.

For those who wish to help, HSDC is asking for donations, volunteers and families to adopt the animals.
