Man arrested more than 1,250 times spends Thanksgiving in jail

LEXINGTON, Ky. — A man who has been arrested more than 1,250 times spent another Thanksgiving in jail.

The Smoking Gun reported that 64-year-old Henry Earl was most recently arrested on Oct. 4 for public intoxication in Lexington, Ky. after being found collapsed outside a fast food restaurant.

Earl is currently incarcerated in the Fayette County Detention Center. The suspect was crowned the “World’s Most Arrested Man” by The Smoking Gun and has reportedly been arrested 1,267 times.

Earl’s arrests usually involve alcohol. He was arrested for the first time in 1970 when he was 20 years old for carrying a concealed weapon.

Earl would continue to be arrested continuously for the next four decades, including 33 times in the first decade.

The Smoking Gun reported that he spent Thanksgiving in jail three times in the last five years and celebrated his 64th birthday behind bars on Oct. 24.
