WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — A water main break that happened Wednesday night in Winston-Salem has been repaired.

The break occurred in the 600 block of Peters Creek Parkway, near the Family Dollar Store.

Peters Creek Parkway is now open.

The exact cause of the break is not known, but a representative with City Link says the frigid weather is most likely to blame.

People who live in the area could notice air in their lines and discoloration the their water for a couple days. Officials say this is normal.
