Train hits truck in Greensboro, conductor injured

GREENSBORO, N.C. — Authorities said about 500 gallons of windshield wiper fluid and other cleaners were spilled after a train hit a truck in Greensboro.

Investigators said it happened around 4:45 p.m. Friday near 101 Maxfield Road and caused minor injuries to the train’s conductor.

Authorities said the Norfolk Southern train was headed eastbound at 45 mph.

The track is currently shut down and there is no word on delays. Officials said there are no concerns about hazardous materials.
