Crews battle house fire in Winston-Salem

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Fire crews are on the scene of a house fire in Winston-Salem on Friday morning.

Officials say the call came in around 6:37 a.m. about a fire at 1708 Thurmond Street. Chief Anthony Farmer said the house was vacant and there was no power at the home.

Crews have the fire under control and there are no reports of injuries.

The incident is under investigation.
