Many who might not have otherwise had a Thanksgiving dinner will be able to thanks to the efforts of the Clemmons Food Pantry and the Lawndale Baptist Church.

The Clemmons Food Pantry recently held a turkey giveaway, in which 400 locals were able to receive a free turkey with all the trimmings.

In Greensboro, the Lawndale Baptist Church is getting ready for the fifth annual "Feeding the 5,000," where 1,000 boxes containing turkey and sides will be given out to those in need next Tuesday, Nov. 26.
