‘Iron Man’ robs Wake County Subway restaurant

FUQUAY-VARINA, N.C. — A man is accused of dressing up like comic hero “Iron Man” and robbing a Subway restaurant Sunday in Wake County.

WTVD-TV reported that the suspect was one of two men who allegedly robbed the business around 8:40 p.m. at 8109 Fayetteville Road in Fuquay-Varina.

Authorities said the suspects forced their way in through the back door and made an employee open the register and safe. About $500 was stolen.

Officials said one suspect wore a red hoodie with an Iron Man design on the front and back  zipped all the way up to cover his face.

The other allegedly wore a black hoodie with a ski mask. Authorities said they both wore gloves.
