Greensboro man robbed while trying to buy item listed on Craigslist

GREENSBORO, N.C. — A man who was attempting to buy an item advertised on Craigslist was robbed at gunpoint early Thursday.

Police responded to Gentry Street around 12:25 a.m. where they met the victim who said he had been robbed. He told police he met with three subjects regarding the sale of an item advertised on Craigslist.

During the transaction, the victim was robbed at gunpoint by three suspects who were later apprehended.

The suspects have been identified as Tracey Dearmon, 20; Montavier Epps, 19; Brandon Redfearn, 21. All three were charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon and conspiracy to commit robbery.

The investigation is ongoing.
