Beech Mountain Resort announces opening day will be Nov. 29

BEECH MOUNTAIN, N.C. — Cold enough temperatures have arrived for ideal snowmaking conditions and Beech Mountain Resort announced today it will open for the season on Nov. 29.

Opening weekend lodging specials include a “Ski and Stay” package that includes two nights and one lift ticket for as low as $82, according to the resort’s website.

Beech Mountain Resort is also offering a Christmas tree package. For people who stay three nights, they get a free six-foot “Choose-N-Cut” tree.

    Snowmaking? Sorry that is like skiing on ice. You need to ski in the mountains of VT or WY. Now that is skiing. Nothing like 2 feet of fresh powder!
