HIGH POINT, N.C. — This year’s Give A Kid A Coat campaign concluded on Saturday, November 16 after receiving 18,412 coats for needy families in the area.

Since its inception 27 years ago, A Cleaner World has collected, cleaned, and distributed over 788,000 coats.

Chris Edwards, President of A Cleaner World said:  “We are so pleased to know that over 18,000 children and adults will have a warm coat this winter because of the Triad’s generous support. Thank you to our partners Fox 8, 1075KZL, and The Salvation Army for their dedication to this project.  I’d also like to say a special thank you to our employees for all their hard work.  Every person that contributes, whether it is by donating a coat, cleaning a coat, or spreading the word, is important to the program’s success.”

While the collection process is over, The Salvation Army is continuing to distribute coats.  Families in need of coats should contact their local Salvation Army office for distribution information.

Give A Kid A Coat is sponsored by A Cleaner World, The Salvation Army, Fox8/WGHP, 1075KZL, and Kid Smiles.
