BOONE, N.C. — A woman is facing embezzlement charges after police say she stole $95,000 in cash from a pet store.

Kimberly May Osborne of Kenneth B. Brown Road, Boone, was arrested and charged with three counts of felonious embezzlement and two counts of felonious larceny by employee.

Police said she took $95,000 in cash from Pet Supply Plus where she worked and an undetermined amount of store merchandise between June 2012 and November 2013.

Osborne was placed under a $10,000 secured bond pending a Dec. 20 court appearance.

That is $1,300 a week. It took them an average of 73 weeks to notice that much money was missing each month. Even if she did not do it the same every week, that is a lot of money to be missing. Then their is the stock she took. I wonder how much of that she took and over what time period.
