WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Police responded to a vehicle accident involving a Winston-Salem/Forsyth County school bus in the 2100-block of Reynolda Road Monday afternoon.

It was determined that bus No. 453 was traveling north on Reynolda Road and a 2001 Honda Accord collided with the back of the bus as it was slowing for a traffic light.

It was determined that “inattention” was the primary cause of this accident.

The bus was occupied by 13 students from Paisley Middle School and the driver at the time of the collision.

The Honda Accord was being operated by Ariceli Lopez-Perez, 33, of  Winston-Salem. Lopez-Perez was cited and released at the scene for no operator’s license and failure to reduce speed to avoid a collision.

Minimal damage was caused and no injuries were reported as a result of this collision.
