Woman found on front porch with severe injuries

HIGH POINT, N.C. — Police said a woman was found on a front porch with serious injuries after police believe she was beaten by her boyfriend.

When police arrived at the scene they say they found the victim on the front porch of 1206 Pershing St. with multiple injuries around 4:52 a.m.

Police have arrested the victim’s longtime boyfriend, Quantez Lashay Thomas, 29, who is being charged with assault on a female, assault with a deadly weapon, inflicting serious bodily injury and communicating threats.

He has been placed in the Guilford County Jail without bond.

Police said the victim’s injuries were substantial but not life threatening.
