Arrests made in recent Winston-Salem, Kernersville bank robberies

KERNERSVILLE, N.C. — Two suspects are in custody following a bank robbery that occurred around 3:15 p.m. on Friday, according to Kernersville police.

According to Winston-Salem police, one of the men arrested is the same man connected with recent bank robberies in Winston-Salem.

The man was identified as Robert Lee Brown Jr.

Police responded to the PNC Bank, located at 823 S. Main St., Kernersville, regarding a robbery.

Two suspects left in a vehicle and a traffic stop was conducted along Bus. 40/U.S. 421 near Linville Road.

The second suspect in custody has not been identified.

An undisclosed amount of money was confiscated. No weapons were discovered.

An investigation is ongoing.
