CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Bobcats Head Coach Steve Clifford was hospitalized overnight after “not feeling well.”

According to a statement from the Bobcats, “as a precaution, he was held overnight and is undergoing additional tests this morning. His status for tonight’s game will be determined later today.”

If Clifford is unavailable for tonight’s game against the Knicks, Assistant Coach Patrick Ewing will likely fill in.

“Hopefully coach Clifford will be back tonight, but we have to prepare as if he won’t be,” Ewing said.
