The Clemmons Courier and Davie County Enterprise Record are for sale.

Evening Post Industries, based in Charleston, S.C., put the weekly newspapers, as well as the Salisbury Post, up for sale last month.

John Barnwell, the CEO for EPI, told the Salisbury Post that the company is “diversifying into other business segments.”

EPI has owned the Courier and Enterprise since 1996.

The Enterprise was a merger of three papers in the county, the Davie Record, the Mocksville Enterprise and the Cooleemee Journal.

The Courier was started in 1960.
