CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A woman is facing charges after she allegedly took advantage of Carolina Panthers fans by selling $152,00 worth of fake merchandise, including handbags and wallets.

According to WSOC, police were busy rounding up fake merchandise being sold to unsuspecting visitors on Sunday, as fans made their way into the stadium.

Tammy Howard, 42, who had set up shop near the stadium, was arrested by Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department officers and the Secretary of State’s counterfeit task force.

Three other vendors also got three misdemeanor citations for selling counterfeit NFL T-shirts outside the stadium Sunday.
