GREENSBORO, N.C. -- It usually takes months to build a house, but a group of "Habitat for Humanity" volunteers in Greensboro are trying to construct seven homes in just five days.

They've been hard at work for 24 hours, so far.

The "Raising Roofs...Builders for Habitat" event will continue today through Nov. 8.

The Greensboro Builders Association and Habitat for Humanity of Greater Greensboro began building together in 2003 with their first "Raising Roofs...Builders for Habitat" event.

Over the past 10 years, this event has brought together hundreds of industry professional builders, suppliers and trade contractors to work side by side to build houses from the ground up.
