Yadkin County man accused of firing weapon near infant son

HAMPTONVILLE, N.C. — A Yadkin County man was arrested Saturday after firing several shots in and around his residence with his 3-month-old son inside.

Fernando Aquino Noyola, 21, of Hamptonville, was charged with one count of assault on a female, one count of firing a weapon into an occupied dwelling and one count of child endangerment.

The Yadkin County Sheriff’s Office received a call from a family member of a domestic situation. Deputies determined through their investigation that Noyola had assaulted his wife and fired several shots around the residence.

Noyola is currently being held at the Yadkin County Detention Center under no bond.

According to reports, more charges may be pending.
