Police investigate shooting on 27th Street in W-S

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — A Winston-Salem man was shot several times Tuesday in the driver’s seat of his vehicle in the 300 block of 27th Street, authorities said.

Lee Brestle Shore Jr., 38, drove his vehicle to the 400 block of East 25th Street to get assistance from a family member who lives in the area, Winston-Salem police said.

Officers found Shore by his vehicle in the 400 block of 25th Street near its intersection of Ivy Avenue, police Lt. Jeff Watson said.

Shore was taken to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, where he was in stable but serious condition, police said.
