HIGH POINT, N.C. — Do you have coats in the back of your closet that aren't being worn anymore? Bring them down to A Cleaner World today as the annual Give A Kid A Coat campaign kicks off this morning in High Point.

FOX8 and 1075KZL are both broadcasting live from 5-10 a.m. today at  2527 Eastchester Drive, where they are collecting coat donations from area residents to donate to needy children and adults throughout the Piedmont.

As of 8:45 a.m., nearly 500 coats have already been donated.

Hardees and Chick fil A will provide breakfast to folks that donate coats, and the Salvation Army will be there serving hot chocolate and coffee.

Kid Smiles in Asheboro is also a corporate sponsor for this year's campaign.

Anyone wishing to contribute to the campaign may do so by dropping off a coat at any A Cleaner World location beginning today through Saturday, Nov. 16.  Coats will be cleaned and repaired free of charge, then given to The Salvation Army for distribution.

Be nice to know if other Cleaner Worlds in other cities are participating in the Give a Kid a coat and their locations if they are participating.
