Woman’s purse stolen in Winston-Salem, police say

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Winston-Salem police said they’re looking for a man accused of robbing a woman’s purse with a knife while she was walking to her vehicle.

Authorities said the incident happened to a 29-year-old woman in the 100 block of South Marshall Street shortly after 5 p.m. Tuesday.

Police said the victim was not injured during the crime. A complete description of the suspect was not released.
