N.C. Zoo to receive $975,000 for repairs, updates

RALEIGH, N.C. – The N.C. Zoo in Randolph County is set to receive nearly $975,000 for repairs and updates, according to the State Office of State Budget and Management.

Officials have set aside $617,000 to replace air units in the Sonora Desert Pavilion and $368,000 to repave the tram roadway.

The state’s Renovation Reserve project list consists of 191 recommended projects that total $90 million.
