GREENSBORO, N.C. — Dozens of new traffic cameras will be added by the end of this week thanks to a N.C. Department of Transportation project.

The project includes upgrading the region’s traffic camera network.

Workers have installed 76 new cameras, and by the end of next week, there will be 168 cameras around Greensboro, Winston-Salem and High Point.

The cameras will go offline on Wednesday and Thursday while the upgrade is completed. All cameras and images are expected to be available by Oct. 11.
