KING, N.C. — Police say a 76-year-old man drowned in a pool in Stokes County.

King Police Chief Paula May says a family member called 911 shortly before 5 a.m. Friday after finding 76-year-old Bobby W. Hayesun responsive in a pool behind a home on Kingsway Drive.

Chief May says they do not suspect foul play. May said Hayes had extensive medical issues, and alcohol wasn’t a factor in the case.

No other details were immediately available.
