While most middle schoolers just want to fit in, Anastasia Woosley is determined to be different.

She's a lifelong football fan who wanted to be a football player!

She's the only girl on the Oak Grove Middle School football team in Davidson County, and she says it's been the biggest challenge of her young life!

Anastasia is in the seventh grade and a back-up running back. She plays during the fifth quarter, which is a developmental time for younger players.

Practices are a different story. She does all the drills with all the hitting that the guys do.

"As I've played football, I've been extremely proud of myself. I've felt so much better about myself. I've been happy and confident," Anastasia says.
