Guilford College professor introduces Zooey Deschanel to her roots

Nathanael Green, Nathan Hunt, James Mendenhall, Allen Jay--all names you may have heard, all of them connected to the Piedmont, but do you know what else they have in common?

They were all Quakers--the Christian denomination also know as the Religious Society of Friends.

Max Carter is nationally recognized authority on Quaker history and professor at Guilford College.

In fact, he recently helped Zooey Deschanel trace her Quaker roots.
